Ina Garten is an American writer of cookery cookbooks as well as Emmy Award-winning host for the oldest Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons till 2020. Ina Garten began her professional career at the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy as well as budgetary papers. In the beginning, she found her work to be intellectually stimulating, but then she lost interest, and purchased a tiny grocery store that was called Barefoot Contessa. Her store was extremely successful for over 18 years, until she decided to sell it. After that, she started her first cookbook. A number of other books and newspaper articles were published.
